Aggressive dog training is an art. It is also the only possible cure for many dogs that engage in hostile or antisocial behavior. Dog aggression is often characterized by a number of different behaviors which may include showing of the teeth, snarling, aggressive food guarding and barking. It can also include biting people, other dogs or even the owner himself. This aggressive behavior from the dog makes it hard to give it the adequate care that it deserves and causes people to fear for their very well being.
A primary cause of aggressive behavior in dogs is usually due to improper reinforcement from the owner himself. What many owners fail to realize is that their attitude toward the animal may be the reason for the aggressive behavior of the dog. Training methods that utilize violence, teasing or constant reprimands can lead to canine behavior that is very aggressive. They can also develop this negative behavior if they are constantly chained up, under fed or punished harshly.
Other stimuli can also lead to aggressive dog behavior. This includes negative reinforcement from other dogs such as excessive barking, physical violence and canine rivalry. This can cause your dog to copy these negative personality traits.
When using this method of dog training it is important to look at it from the dog’s point of view. It is often a survival mechanism that developed to give the dog a better chance of survival in the wild. From the dog’s perspective it makes sense to act in an aggressive or protective manner. If the dog didn’t do this in the wild, then it would be subject to continued violence from other dogs or even death.
When using aggressive dog Training
It is important to consider the breed of the dog. Certain breeds seem to have a natural aggressive temperament. These breeds often include pit bulls, st. bernards, rottweilers and dobermans. These breeds often have instinctual triggers that cause them to react in an aggressive or improper manner. Common triggers include other dogs, children and strangers. Dogs with these triggers may have a natural fear of the unknown and their aggressive behavior is a coping mechanism that allows them to lower their anxiety levels.
Of course, there are certain situations in which dog training is going to be less effective than it would be under the circumstances we mentioned previously. Let’s say that the dog has a medical condition, for instance. If this was the case, then the dog may be acting out because of pain. Under this circumstance the underlying condition would have to be corrected before proper aggressive dog training could be undertaken.
Aggressive dog training can be quite beneficial
For dog owners who are looking to improve the behavior of man’s best friend. All it takes to get is to identify the problem, understand the underlying circumstances and take appropriate action.
